Joshua Correll, professor at the University of Chicago, has created an on-line test called The Police Officer’s Dilemma in which you encounter numerous pictures of black men and white men, some armed and some unarmed. You are supposed to shoot those who are armed and holster your gun when you see someone unarmed. The program measures the speed of your reaction. Below is a screenshot of the game from University of Chicago Magazine.
There’s also the Implicit Attitude Tests. These are set up by Project Implicit at Harvard University. They measure unconscious attitudes on race, age, gender, sexuality, religion and other issues.
